The Robbie Pate group offers a variety of sizes and genres. This versatile group can provide a light ambience to a dinner party, captivate an audience in the most prestigious jazz club, and bring a party to its feet with raging horns, vocal harmonies and soul. The instrumentation ranges anywhere from duo to nonet, and can always provide the right atmosphere.

Alexandra James

Blending neo-soul and R&B, 23 year old New York City vocalist and songwriter Alexandra James offers a fresh take on pop music influenced by the jazz tradition. This style is seen in her harmonic progressions and arranged horn parts.
Green Line X-Tension

Green Line X-Tension is a vocal jazz ensemble originating at Berklee College of Music directed by Michael J. Johnson and Ani Johnson. The group consists of Ani Johnson (alto), Nicole Roberts (soprano), Sarah Bernadette (soprano 2/alto), Robert Pate (tenor), and Skip Lewan (bass.)
Matt Savage Groove Experiment

The Matt Savage Groove Experiment is a jazz fusion project led by pianist/composer Matt Savage.
The quintet is augmented by vocalist Robbie Pate, who appears on two tracks, including a “funkified” version of the classic standard “All the Things You Are.”
